About this Race
The Yerevan Marathon is a course through the Armenian capital, run at around 1,000 metres of elevation with the snow-capped peak of Mount Ararat dominating the horizon on clear days. The modest altitude and largely manageable terrain shape the day in the ancient Caucasus city. Held in autumn, it offers cool, dry conditions and a spectacular mountain backdrop. The cityscape and Ararat define the day. It suits runners who want a characterful, scenic Caucasus race and don't mind the mild elevation over a sea-level personal best.
